
Ingredients
Chicken Marinade
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- juice of 1 lemon
Burger Assembly
- 4 burger buns
- lettuce leaves (optional)
- tomato sliced (optional)
- red onion sliced (optional)
- cheese sliced (optional)
- mayonnaise (optional)
- tomato sauce (optional)
- mustard (optional)
Instructions
Marinate the Chicken:
- In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, dried thyme, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.
Cook the Chicken:
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade and grill for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- If you don't have a grill, you can also cook the chicken breasts in a skillet with a little oil over medium heat until cooked through.
Assemble the Burgers:
- While the chicken is cooking, cut the burger buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster.
- Once the chicken breasts are cooked, you can optionally add a slice of cheese on top of each breast and let it melt for a minute.
- To assemble the burger, spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, followed by ketchup and mustard to taste.
- Place a lettuce leaf on top of the sauces, then add the grilled chicken breast.
- Top with tomato slices and red onion rings.
- Finish by placing the top half of the bun on the assembled ingredients.
